What is the TISAX Maturity Level?
In a TISAX assessment, each question is rated with a maturity level by the auditor. The following levels exist:
Level 0 – Incomplete
No process exists, or it is not suitable to achieve the objective
Level 1 – Performed
An informal or partially documented process is followed
Level 2 – Managed
A process exists, achieves its objectives, and is documented
Level 3 – Established
A standardized process is integrated into the system and consistently applied
Level 4 – Predictable
Process performance is monitored using KPIs with defined thresholds
Level 5 – Optimizing
Continuous improvement is an integral part of the process
To achieve TISAX certification:
• the overall maturity level must reach at least Level 3
• the minimum average maturity is approximately 2.7
Important: Weak results in one area cannot be compensated by stronger results in another, as each question is capped at Level 3.
