Who requires TISAX certification?
A valid TISAX certification is now required by most European automotive manufacturers and major suppliers. Typically, the certification must be available at the start of a new project, in some cases, already during the tender phase.
Some OEMs automatically compare their supplier databases with the TISAX portal, ensuring that only certified suppliers are considered for new projects.
Originally, the focus was mainly on confidentiality requirements. Since 2024, availability requirements have also become increasingly important to ensure the resilience of the entire automotive supply chain.
In addition, suppliers are often required to ensure that their own suppliers also obtain TISAX certification.
